A Greater Manchester club fields an amateur veterans squad with nine ex- Premier League footballers in their current squad.

The team Vets Over 35s are situated in southern Manchester and play in the Cheshire-based Vets League Top Tier.

Their lineup this season includes 9 former Premier League footballers, with a combined 1,801 Premier League matches.

This elite squad also boasts over 220 Premier League scores and 325 international appearances.

They include one forward, who netted 37 scores in over 100 appearances for his former club after moving to them for nine million pounds from German league side Freiburg in January 2012.

"That's a little different but then, I love sprinting and just go inside - I'm not defending that much," he added.

"I warn my defender 'I'm not staying' and that I'm just going to keep running.

"The running is what I'm after. It's good fun."

Dreamlike' Experience

In addition to Cisse's six goals on debut, Ireland has netted eight in 3 games for the side, while Boyd hit 5 on his first match and Joleon Lescott, a defender by trade, scored a hat-trick in one game up front.

The team are leading of the Top Division with three wins from three and a GD of plus nineteen.

One opponent, 38, who features on the flank for the opposition, came up against former Wigan full-back Figueroa on the weekend - and had to tell his young son who Heskey was.

The manager coaches the opposition veterans side, who secured the Top Division title the previous campaign, together with Paul Maguire.

"We went 1-0 ahead and had a
